Trade practices
Article Abstract:
Trade associations should thoroughly vet prospective members' backgrounds, as well as financial and work quality criteria, and offer action for dissatisfied with the work or conduct of members. However, a survey of 32 trade associations revealed that not all trade associations carry out these vetting procedures. Trade associations should also have a current list of all members so that the best advice can be offered to consumers.
