Travel gadgets
Article Abstract:
There is now a wide range of travel appliances such as irons, kettles and hairdryers available in the UK. Most operate effectively, but a few have been shown to present potential electrical dangers. Some travel hairdryers are awkward to use, while travel steam irons have the same problem. In the case of travel kettles, most are very slow to boil at their minimum voltage, and with some the lid can fall off while the boiling water is being poured out.

Gadgets galore
Article Abstract:
There are now many different kitchen gadgets available in the UK, and consumers can find it very hard to decide whether a particular gadget will really be useful. Before purchasing, it is important to consider whether the gadget fits in with the family's lifestyle, how much space it will take up and whether it is easy to clean. Research has found that the most useful gadget is a sandwich toaster, followed by a deep-fat fryer and a slow cooker.
