Winter emergencies
Article Abstract:
In preparation for potential winter emergencies, dripping taps, blocked gutters and loose roof tiles should be repaired. Using a minimum of 25mm of pipe lagging can help prevent frozen pipes, although once frozen, these can be thawed using a hair drier or hot water bottle. The electric, water or gas supply should be turned off immediately in the event of flooding, gas leak, or burst pipes.
