Discussion on a latest Cretaceous hotspot and the southeasterly tilt of Britain
Article Abstract:
A study on the influence of a Late Cretaceous hot spot in the Irish Sea on the existing drainage patterns in Great Britain focused on the mechanics of regional erosion. However, there are deficiencies in the erosion map used and the areas affected actually extend up to the North Sea, Scotland, Ireland, Scandinavia and the basins of the Atlantic continental margin. Existing evidence also support the idea that the drainage pattern evolved out of glacial processes.

Discussion on mineralogy and geochemistry of the Peterborough Member, Oxford Clay Formation, Jurassic, UK: element fractionation during mudrock sedimentation
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the mineralogy and geochemistry of the Peterborough Member, Oxford Clay Formation, Jurassic, UK, reveals information on element fractionization during mudrock sedimentation. Results of the analysis is derived from the correlation of 36 elements found in the area. However, the use of correlation is inelegant due to the constant sum problem. To minimize this tendency, researchers have included points of zero significance in their calculations.
