Cosmic dust collection in aerogel
Article Abstract:
The nature of aerogel, which is an ultra-low-density material, its capture properties as determined in the laboratory, its deployment in space and the range of suitable analysis techniques for the captured particles are described. It is reported that aerogel can be used to capture particles at impact speeds up to 10 km s(-1) and aerogel capture cells can be considered a mature technology, giving understandable results for studies of cosmic dust.

Advanced noninvasive geophysical monitoring techniques
Article Abstract:
Advanced noninvasive geophysical monitoring techniques used to create images of the Earth's interior are described. Mechanical properties, fluid transport and biogeochemical processes are focused upon and geophysical methods were used to detect time-lapse changes in associated properties.
