A regional dynamic general-equilibrium model of alternative climate-change strategies
Article Abstract:
A Regional Integrated model of Climate and the Economy is developed. The model examines various national strategies in climate-change policy such as pure market solutions, efficient cooperative results, and non-cooperative equilibria, by disaggregating into countries. Findings indicate that cooperative policies have greater levels of emissions reductions and that there are significant differences in the levels of controls in both the cooperative and non-cooperative policies, and that high-income nations will lose the most from cooperation.
