A two-part incentive scheme to implement productive efficiency over time
Article Abstract:
A study was done to evaluate a two-part negative price incentive scheme. The pricing scheme is characterized by a regulator which implements the subsidy scheme depending on the relation between firm prices and unit costs. The scheme needs minimal information, pushes firms to minimize costs and provide optimal conditions for a given period. The study also features other regulatory schemes where cost minimization is conditional.
