Aging and inequality in income and health
Article Abstract:
Poor health and low income show a relationship with age. The correlation decreases as individuals age because retirement benefits from the social security system is not affected by health issues. Poorer people are more likely to lead high-risk lifestyles, have less access to health care, and live and work in less health environments. Moreover, socioeconomic status is clearly associated with health outcomes such that poor health subsequently indicates higher mortality rates. Individuals with low self-reported health status are more prone to develop problems with activities of daily living.

U.S. trade with developing countries and wage inequality
Article Abstract:
Differences between the wages of low and highly educated workers are steadily increasing since the 1970s. This can be attributed to a demand shift for workers as more products are being outsourced away from the US. This can be explained by using the Heckscher-Ohlin-Samuelson model on trade-wage linkages. Circumstantial evidence points to the occurrence of an increase in US trade with increasing wage differences in the same time frame.
