Axiomatizing ordinal welfare egalitarianism when preferences may vary
Article Abstract:
Ordinal welfare egalitarianism represents a strong solidarity form based on varied feasibility constraints and preferences. Solidarity characterized by variations in feasibility constraints suggests ordinal welfare egalitarianism, while solidarity based on preferences change does not mean ordinal welfare egalitarianism. The combination of both solidarities does not form a total welfare egalitarianism but a complicated one.

Ordinal cost sharing
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the mechanisms for solving cost-sharing problems with homogenous cost functions reveals that using an Ordinality Axiom, the mechanisms may be extended to arbitrary problems. The axiom requires all cost shares to invariant under all increasing transformations of the measuring scales and that the Aumann-Shapley extension of the proportional mechanisms is not ordinal.
