Bank acquisitions and performance: evidence from a panel of European credit entities
Article Abstract:
The paper seeks to study the effect on European Union credit entities and the performance of financial institutions, especially in cases where the US is concerned. Acquisitions are categorized into banking and non-banking business entities. The paper concludes that acquirers achieve long-term profitability and that it is more evident in cases where banks have been acquired.
