College football conferences and competitive balance
Article Abstract:
The major conferences held in the history of football up to the year 2001 are explored in this article. Basic information concerning competitive balance and the stability of football conferences that could be useful in the detailed examination of the economics of college football are also discussed.

The demand for game day attendance in college football: an analysis of the 1997 division 1-A season
Article Abstract:
A predictive model is developed that includes game, team and university specific factors that are likely to influence game day demand for Division 1-A college football. Smaller crowds were attracted by the colleges with lower enrollments and a higher percentage of off-campus students.

Stackelberg leadership with demand uncertainty

For the purpose of analyzing the endogenous order of moves in the presence of demand uncertainty, the Stackelberg model with demand uncertainty is considered, so as to compare the advantages of leadership and flexibility.
