Cost-effective product development
Article Abstract:
An approach based on the attributes of a product for assessing product development and improvement decisions and the characterization of customer preferences for product attributes by conjoint analysis are discussed. This also involves the costing of product attributes and the projection of results over time by activity based costing and computer simulations, respectively. The utility of the methods for cost-effective product development was demonstrated.
