Credible proposals in communication games
Article Abstract:
A nonequilibrium theory of communication called credible proposals, which links the concept to existing ideas used to predict outcomes in cheap-talk games, is presented. The techniques, used to determine how these existing ideas extend to games with costly signals and relate these ideas to existing solution concepts, predict non-trivial communication under intuitive conditions and like the Stiglitz critique, are not subject to criticisms of conventional refinements.

Hierarchies of conditional beliefs and interactive epistemology in dynamic games
Article Abstract:
Statements regarding conditional beliefs and interactive epistemology are considered in the epistemic analysis of solution concepts for dynamic games. A space of infinite hierarchies of probability systems is developed from which findings about common certainty of the opponent's rationality based on histories in multistage games, observed actions and insufficient information are derived.
