Cyprus and the Uruguay Round agreement on agriculture
Article Abstract:
Cyprus' commitment to the Uruguay Round agreement on agriculture is expected to create a negligible effect on the country's domestic support and export subsidy. The country's ability to protect its valued agricultural producers, meanwhile, will lessen brought mainly by Cyprus' effort to become a member of European Union (EU) and not by its commitment with the Uruguay Round agreement. Cyprus is expected to remove its Non-Tariff Barriers as it tries to adopt policies of EU.
