Decisiveness, attitude expression and symbolic responses in contingent valuation surveys
Article Abstract:
A theoretical model of symbolic and attitude-expressive valuation responses was presented as a framework for assessing individual decision making in contingent valuation studies. The model extends previous work of Kahneman (1986) which is based on undertakings in political science and psychology. The framework's three factors, including, expressive model, symbols, and value, can be of value to areas of future research in accounting for contingent valuation phenomena.
