Dynamic monotonicity and comparative statics for real options
Article Abstract:
An evaluation of the relationship of monotonicity and complementaries in dynamic programming for the purpose of determining real options reveals that monotonicity in the decision rule does not translate to the optimal path and that complementaries are necessary only in heavy discounting and in limited values. Monotone decision rules normally imply monotone optimal paths but the study reveals that other options may result from the same decision path.

Copeland method II: manipulation, monotonicity, and paradoxes
Article Abstract:
The Copeland Method's (CM) relative simplicity is used to determine why manipulative and paradoxical behavior obstruct allocation and decision procedures. The use of geometric approach, which is better than the canonic combinatorial analysis of social choice, identifies all CM manipulation, monotinicity, consistency, and involvement properties. It also identifies all profiles which are susceptible to these difficulties.

Renegotiating moral hazard contracts under limited liability and monotonicity
Article Abstract:
Research is presented concerning the development of a principal-agent model to study the monotonicity of payments for the principal and limited liability for the agent. The influence of debt contracts is discussed.
