Efficient patent pools
Article Abstract:
An analysis of patent pools is presented. Patent pools are agreements amongst patent owners that are willing to license their patents. The effects of differences in importance of patents and the welfare from such pools are also discussed. The study also considers that licensors can also be licensees and it can be used for co-marketing arrangements.
