Stagnation or transformation of a dual economy through endogenous productivity growth
Article Abstract:
The development of an open dual economy is modeled using a growth model. The dual economy under a wage-led or profit-led regime may either de-industrialize, enter into a growth trap, or sustain employment and adequate output and productivity growth.
