Estimating the effects of global patent protection in pharmaceuticals: a case study of Quinolones in India

Price regulation, along with current patent laws, can balance the market power and incentives of patent holders regarding their companies' operations. A case study of Quinolones in India is presented, emphasizing that availability of products is just as much a concern of consumers as affordability.
