Issues concerning the characteristics of the gambling market of Canada are discussed. Particular attention is given to analyses of the relationships between costs and benefits of gambling, as well as to developing a framework of the social, health and economic impact of gambling.

Casino gambling and crime: a panel study of Wisconsin counties
Article Abstract:
Research investigating connections between crime and gambling in the United States are discussed. Particular attention is given to the case of casino gambling in the United States county of Wisconsin. It is concluded that crime rates increase in the vicinity of casinos.

Issues concerning ways in which economic regulation theories can be applied to the gambling industry in the United States are discussed. Particular attention is given to constructing an interest group model and exploring ways of applying it to the markets of gambling.
