Generalized search-theoretic models of monetary exchange
Article Abstract:
The existing search-theoretic model of money was studied by generalizing the bargaining solution and by allowing agents with money to produce. The results were derived on existence, the number of equilibria, comparative statics and welfare for the model and were compared with standard model and it was found that it was easier to derive results more naturally in the new model.
