Generational analysis of support for reform
Article Abstract:
This article discusses the change from a centralized economy to a market economy in post-communist Russia; the social acceptability and success of market reforms is analyzed using a multi-generational model. The willingness of citizens to support certain reforms lies, according to the author, in the theory that a person is more likely to adapt to and support socioeconomic conditions the longer he has been living under them; this multi-generational hypothesis is used to estimate the likely success of reforms or likelihood of the urge to counter-reforms.

The state regulation of the market economy
Article Abstract:
This article discusses the lack of allocation of funds in the Russian Federation since the restructuring to a market economy, which has resulted in the decrease of technical sophistication, stagnation and eventual demise of the industrial complexes. The authors assert that policy should focus on strengthening the real sectors of the economy rather than on macroeconomic regulations; the state currently has no influence over management of industry, services and trade.
