Garden.com, an online marketer of gardening supplies, information and other services, has launched a promotional campaign beginning in San Francisco, CA, on Apr 6, 2000. The Grass Roots Tour, which also include stops in Atlanta, GA, New York, NY, Boston, MA, and Chicago, IL, is aimed at promoting gardening in the US. Garden.com's Grass Roots Tour will culminate in Washington DC with an event called the Millennium Green One Millionth Youth Tree-Planting.

Cotton growers seek survival methods
Article Abstract:
A good number of cotton producers attended the Beltwide Cotton Conference held in San Antonio, TX, in 2000 despite the fact that the industry has been struggling to survive. Attendees lauded the passage of an emergency legislation providing $15 billion to help the agricultural industry. One hot issue discussed at the annual gathering is how to reduce production costs. Several new products were also introduced at the conference.

Winning consumer confidence with the Seal of Cotton
Article Abstract:
Cotton Inc's trademark, Seal of Cotton, has helped not only the company but the whole cotton industry in boosting consumer recognition amidst the proliferation of newer fibers. Since the company started using the trademark in its advertisements in 1973, several companies have requested its licensed used on their products' tags and packaging. The company is currently using the Seal to target the 12- to 24-year-old market.
