Habitual late payment of trade credit: an empirical examination of UK small firms
Article Abstract:
An examination of the late payment of trade credit by United Kingdom small firms reveal the difficulty in obtaining bank finance and late payment by debtors as the reasons for the delay. The implications on the firms that do not enforce their statutory right to interest on delayed payments are presented.

Determinants of the collateralization of credit by small firms
Article Abstract:
A mixed support for growth opportunities and taxation, little support for default probability, regulation and form of legal organization, determine the collateralization of credit by small firms. The results provide strong evidence of a financing demand for habitual late payment.
