Industrial collaboration and the European internal market
Article Abstract:
Aversion to industrial collaboration may be influenced by market situations as shown by the measurement of aversion ratios. The integration of the European market which lowered trade barriers affected partnership and cooperative efforts between foreign and local firms. During the periods 1983-1988 and 1988-1992, aversion to joint ventures increased when the barriers to international acquisition decreased. Further research is needed to clarify viable economic policies in Europe.

Setting the agenda for a new Europe: the ERT and EC 1992
Article Abstract:
The successful formulation of the 1992 single market program of the EC and the enactment of the Single European Act is mainly due to the efforts exerted by a major business group, which is the European Round Table of Industrialists. This empirical finding runs counter to the theory crediting intergovernmental action with policy development.
