Labour market reform and the macroeconomic efficiency of the labour market in Australia
Article Abstract:
The effects of a decade and a half of labour market reform in Australia on labour market flexibility at the macroeconomic level have been assessed. Changes in the efficiency of labour market matching over the period reflect the cyclical effects of hysteresis rather than the effects of labour market reform is suggested by the time series analysis of unemployment, vacancies and other relevant variables.

A note on the evolution of inequality in Poland, 1992-99
Article Abstract:
The data on the functional income distribution and the dispersion of wages, which indicates that income inequality in Poland rose significantly from 1997 onwards, is analyzed. The farmers and the unemployed were the main losers.

Global inequality and international trade
Article Abstract:
An analysis is done to determine the effect of widespread trade liberalization on global income inequality. The analysis shows that the apparent growth of income inequality among countries conceals a process of convergence.
