Losing sleep at the market: the daylight saving anomaly
Article Abstract:
This study discusses that the daylight saving weekends may contribute to the 'weekend effect' experienced by financial markets each weekend. The sleep deprivation experienced by individual investors was not proven to have a major affect on market prices.

Winter blues: a SAD stock market cycle

It is observed that people are affected with depression during the seasons with relatively fewer hours of daylight, a phenomenon termed as seasonal affective disorder. The effects of SAD on stock market cycle are discussed.
