Median citizen's macroeconomic preference and inflationary bias
Article Abstract:
Inflation bias is analyzed in voting behavior for different US presidential terms between 1978 and 1985, along with presidential popularity analysis from 1961 to 1992. Voters' preferences were found to shift with each change of administration, with higher inflation bias during the presidencies of Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, and George Bush.

On wage indexing, policy credibility and inflation
Article Abstract:
This article addresses the question of whether or not wage indexation lessens the need for a monetary policy that counteracts inflation. Using a game-theoretic model of government policy, it is revealed that wage indexation lessens the variability in real wages, which subsequently reduces the government's commitment to fighting inflation.
