Ultimatums in two-person bargaining with one-sided uncertainty: demand games
Article Abstract:
A study which used ultimatum games to examine gender and other differences in bargaining found women are more concerned with equality than men and that a small percentage of participants accounted for most of the extreme results in the games. The demand game is defined and explained. Findings showed that the higher the receiver's uncertainty, the higher the sender's proportional share. Moreover, the proportional share of the sender dwindles as the actual pie size expands.
