Multilateral Agricultural Trade Liberalisation: The Contrasting Fortunes of Developing Countries in the Doha Round
Article Abstract:
Economic research and its impact on the countries involved in the Doha development round are discussed. Findings show that the literature has not sufficiently addressed binding overhang, in both domestic support and in tariffs, nor have preferential agreements been adequately addressed. These findings compromise the likelihood that developing countries will achieve significant gains through the Doha Round.
