Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to evaluate the effect of equivalence scale estimation on micro empirical results of a demand theory analysis is presented. The study considers a demand system without nonlinearity and frequent heterogeneity in expenditure variables. Results show that demand information does not provide complete data for making welfare comparisons using equivalence scale components.

Universal decentralisation: a demand system for collective and unitary models with household public goods
