On the pareto-optimality of futures contracts over Islamic forward contracts: implications for the emerging Muslim economies
Article Abstract:
An analysis of Islamic futures contracts on Islamically permissible commodities is presented. The study provides an insight into Islamic banking and economies. The need to re-examine the arbitrage principle under non-linear asset pricing is also discussed.
