Operating in the local market
Article Abstract:
Turkey's increasing investment in fiber optics and its growing telecommunications network may provide business opportunities for foreign investors and dealers. Turkey is expected to privatize the end-user aspects of the industry and Turkish firms are already importing much of the materiel needed to establish the system. Business going to foreign firms is usually given to the first comer, but price is a strong consideration and personal contacts help. A list of private and government contacts in Turkey is given.
