Efficient two-part tariffs with uncertainty and interdependent demand
Article Abstract:
The effects of a two-part tariff system integrating uncertainty and interdependent demand on consumer welfare is studied. Results indicate that marginal cost unit pricing becomes inadequate when there is interrelated demand between products even under the two-tariff system. Furthermore, the system negates some of the effects of risk aversion from the consumer in cases of independent demand.
