Article Abstract:
The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) increased 0.3% in Apr 1993. The Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) rose 0.4% in Apr 1993. The CPI-U went to 144.0 without seasonal adjustment, a rise of 3.2% for the past 12 months. The CPI-W went to 141.6 without seasonal adjustment, a rise of 3.1% for the last 12 months. Smallest 12 month gains were 1.8% for food in both CPIs. The largest 12 month gains were for medical costs: 6.0% in CPI-U and 6.1% in CPI-W.

Both consumer price indexes (CPIs) rose 0.4% in Jun 1992. The CPI for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) went to 140.2 without seasonal adjustment, a rise of 3.1% for the past 12 months. The CPI for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) went to 138.1 without seasonal adjustment, a rise of 3.0% for the past 12 months. Smallest 12 month gains were 0.1% for food in both CPIs. The largest 12 month gains were for medical costs: 7.5% in CPI-U and 7.6% in CPI-W.
