Problems in reconciling neoclassical and Marxian models of production: a comment on Green
Article Abstract:
The extent of overlap between the Marxian economic model and the neoclassical models of production is analyzed to examine the premise that there is significant similarity between the two schools. Some economists have propounded the analysis that Marxist theories are supported by neoclassical techniques, without predicating the fusion of the two. However, further analysis indicates that that the relation between Marxian and neoclassical models are not as significant as suggested. Marxian and neoclassicist models will continue to be in conflict despite contrary analyses.
