Gender differences in the labor-market effects of the dollar
Article Abstract:
Fluctuations in the foreign exchange rate of the American dollar has a larger effect on female workers than it does on males. When the dollar depreciates, wages go up, especially when job changes occur. Women are more affected because they change jobs more often. Less educated women and men are more affected.
