Intrinsic motivation and extrinsic incentives
Article Abstract:
The changes in the relationship between economic incentives and norms depend on the answers to such questions as why people stick to norms. It is believed that answers to such issues will vary with the situation. Accordingly, a better understanding of the circumstances that relate to specific answers is required. These different answers will provide different theoretical interactions with economic incentives. Empirical research stands to gain once a theory of interactions is developed.

The redesign of the matching market for American physicians: some engineering aspects of economic design
Article Abstract:
The National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) designed a new algorithm of the labor market for new physicians that will produce stable matchings important in the medical market. The new algorithms focus on the number of applicants and residency programs while meeting specific needs of the medical market. The theory of simple matching markets was used to arrive at good approximations where different stable matchings did not yield different levels of employment.
