Some evidence on race, welfare reform, and household income
Article Abstract:
A method developed to identify upper bounds on Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) effects for 1998 and 1999 is presented, Results suggest that for 1997, TANF is associated with increases in household income for whites and Hispanic children and reductions in household income for black children.

Changes in the distribution of children's family income over the 1990's
Article Abstract:
Change in the entire distribution of family income over the 1990's in the United States is investigated. Results indicate that the childrenEs family income increased at all income levels with slightly higher increases among poor families than non-poor families.
