It is argued that least-developed countries should have access to other development assistance policies from developed nations in order to decrease trade preference dependency and to boost their supply capacities, and that their governments should actively participate in trade policy reform.

Globalisation and Economic Growth: A Historical Perspective

Research indicates that liberalization of trade has had a generally positive effect on growth for developing countries, but successful capital liberalization relies on high quality of institutions. Geography as a factor in explaining income distribution disparity is also examined.
