The MNE investment location decision: some empirical evidence
Article Abstract:
The factors behind the location of foreign investment decisions of multinational corporations were examined in a capital expenditure model containing investment data from 44 countries. These factors are generally divided into three; infrastructural, location-specific and government policy variables. The issue of whether government incentives help determine the locational decisions of multinationals was also examined. It was concluded that risk and infrastructural factors were not significant variables in determining locational decisions while corporate taxes exerted a significant effect.

Communicating the health effects of consumer products: the case of moderate alcohol consumption and coronary heart disease
Article Abstract:
Research findings that link moderate alcohol consumption (MAC) and coronary heart disease (CHD) have not been effectively communicated to consumers who may benefit from the data. Effective communication would require data compression and simplification so that ordinary readers would be able to understand the assessment. The most effective presentation is that which illustrate life years saved or a scalar presentation. This presentation shows variables, such as age, gender and lifestyle, which affect the benefits.
