The Main Street program in Mississippi
Article Abstract:
A survey was conducted to determine the impact of downtown revitalization programs on 'Main Street' towns in Mississippi of under 35,000 population. The study sought to determine the amount of private and public investment that went into and were generated by such programs, the programs' economic and business impact, and their qualitative effects. Findings indicate that the Mississippi Main Street initiative is a success.

A regional incubator program: the case of the Northeast Mississippi business incubation system
Article Abstract:
The Northeast Mississippi Business Incubation System (NEMBIS) is a nonprofit corporation which enabled three rural counties to take part in a business incubation program which they would not have been able to afford individually. Regional cooperation was fostered and has brought the attention of state and local agencies to areas which would have not received any resources.
