The accounting variable and stock price determination
Article Abstract:
Accounting information plays an important role in stock price determination. This relationship emerges via derivatives and proofs of investment postulates connecting valuations in the commodity and capital markets. Likewise, the analysis validates the differences between valuation of claims and the estimated recoverable amount of an invested money. These findings are posited on the efficacy of the accounting method employed that gives credence to the accounting information provided.

Stock distribution announcements and bid-ask spreads
Article Abstract:
Stock distribution announcements, either split or dividend, affect share prices of stocks. In stock split anouncements, the result is an increase in share prices and a decrease in percentage spreads. This behavior contrasts with stock dividend announcements where no changes are evident at all, if ever there is, it is not that significant. Further, in stock split announcements, more information is contained which serve to provide signals for an undervaluation of a firm.
