The determinants of training of male and female employees in Britain
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the factors affecting employee training in the UK is investigated. Results shows that training declines with age for males, those with more qualifications, working in larger establishments and have been newly recruited are more likely to be trained and those with families tend to receive less training. Off-the job training was found to be unaffected by establishment size and increases with age for females.
