The gains from international policy coordination
Article Abstract:
The London Business School, England, has carried out research on benefit of economic policy coordination, which appear to be greater than previously thought. German reunification had a major impact on other European economies, and this is one example of a cross-border spillover. The impact of fiscal expansion in the US can be felt strongly in Japan and Germany, in terms of its effect on inflation and output. A policy regime of full cooperation can improve the outturn in a significant way.
