The importance of noncognitive skills: lessons from the GED testing program
Article Abstract:
A examination of the GED test shows that unlike many educational tests, it tests non-cognitive as well as cognitive skills. Research shows that for many jobs, non-cognitive skills are as valuable or even more valuable than non-cognitive skills. More tests are need that focus on non-cognitive skills.
