The macroeconomic effects of waiting workers in the Chinese economy
Article Abstract:
Analysis of the labor market economy in China reveals that reducing the wage difference between 'waiting-at-home' state-owned enterprises and working employees raise the real values of variables and reduce the price level. The study also finds that the move would stimulate employment and real output but would result in inflation. Labor market reform should be done cautiously as liberalization could result in a decline in real output.
