The optimal financing strategy of a high-tech firm: the role of warrants
Article Abstract:
The bond-plus-equity warrant was evaluated to be the best financing strategy for good high-tech firms with in traditional sectors with good projects. The financing stragegy is shown to develop an equilibrium that takes into consideration the lower expected value of innovation and exposure to non-diversifiable risk. The financing strategy also attenuates negative 'signalling' responses with respect to external finance and dividend payments.

A 'new' socialist party?
Article Abstract:
Proponents of a new socialist party should not based their political agendas on a rigid class analysis of advanced capitalist societies since the sources of conflicts in such societies are more complex than traditional Marxist or post-Marxist theories. Instead, they should consider the role played by parliament and local government in capitalist economies by using analytical methods other than class analysis.
