The road most taken: the rise of Title VII protection
Article Abstract:
Title VII protection laws refer to trade regulations such as countervailing duty laws and anti-dumping laws. These regulations have become a favorite tool by firms and industries in seeking trade protection. Such laws are considered discriminatory by some analysts since they favor imports for a particular country while controlling trade in another. Although Title VII protection is politically desirable in a multilateral trade market, its economic impact is open to conflict.

Two-sided expropriation and international equity contracts
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted using a model of international equity investment that investigates the issue of expropriation in an integrated setting. The model presents two hypothetical countries where investors can trade equity claims on their endowments. The exchange makes risk-sharing possible because of the random return on capital. Results show that investors may opt to hold completely pooled portfolios in spite of expropriation.

Why are so many antidumping petitions withdrawn?
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted on the effects of the increase of antidumping petitions on domestic and international trade. Of those petitions initiated, only 1/3 resulted in the imposition of dumping duties while the rest were either dropped or withdrawn. Data showed that terminated petitions and petitions that led to the imposition of duties similarly affect trade.
