The source of optimality in action
Article Abstract:
It was argued that the concept of the optimizing agent is also sensitive to the 'realization process.' Three conceptions of the 'realization process' were examined. These conception were found to lead to three distinct views on the role of the agency, the enabling conditions conditions where the concept of the optimizing agent can be applied, and the resulting domain of optimization application.
